Of course I will need plenty of ruffles, so is it best to use the wrong way, or the other way by pulling the thread through the material. Could you possibly tell me what is the best material to use for the petticoat and ruffles
Thanks mythology000https://www.blogger.com/profile/06030438534021548915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375198295954907111.post-40923561476331777462010-11-29T04:22:57.497-08:002010-11-29T04:22:57.497-08:00love it!! super cute!!love it!! super cute!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375198295954907111.post-17680508209785878922010-11-26T15:26:50.516-08:002010-11-26T15:26:50.516-08:00Sweetheart,

I'm so impressed with your creativity. My former flannel shirt was honored to be a part of it. :D

Love,
TomInterested Bystanderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09649445107460129720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375198295954907111.post-12878718922445668412010-11-25T12:14:07.151-08:002010-11-25T12:14:07.151-08:00Linda,

If you set your tension to 9 and your stitch length to its longest length and just sew, it will automatically ruffle. It makes ruffling fun. Shame I am not a ruffly sort of person or I would do it more often. Have you noticed that ruffle is a funny word when you say it over and over again? Over here I'm thinking of making everyone in the family - maybe even my sister in AZ - a new pair of flannel lounging pants so we can laze away the holidays in cozy style!

May I share a trick I learned from my mom? When you're doing an in-a-hurry seam, pin the layers together with the pins at right angles to the seam, rather than in-line. Provided you're not using a super-short stitch length, your thread path will sew right across the pin, speeding your work, and you can remove them all afterward. True, you will sometimes catch a head-on conjunction of active needle with pin, usually breaking the needle, but it works more often than not and is a great time-saver!

I love seeing your work come together, hon.RalphyFanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06987494396874712336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375198295954907111.post-10227127125572575822010-11-23T20:47:22.531-08:002010-11-23T20:47:22.531-08:00Good for you--good practice, good job, good result...Good for you--good practice, good job, good result.
